looking for a Principal level Consulting Project Manager to join the Global
Stores Group within the Oracle Retail consulting organization. You will have
the opportunity to work with many Oracle Retail Customers and will manage
the implementation of Oracle industry leading retail software products for
Point of Sale and CRM.
could require managing global implementations of our retail products spanning
many geographical regions.
Project Managers at Oracle are the planners in an organization primarily
comprised of hands-on technologists. They are the consultative peers of client
project owners and team managers. Project Managers have 5 years of experience
managing the implementation and delivery of software products. They can
comfortably speak with anyone about any aspect of the implementation project at
any stage and add value.
Project managers are theleaders for their assigned projects. The individual with primaryaccountability in their hands. They influence and control thesuccess of their specific customer engagement. They have the opportunityto become the trusted advisors.

PM is responsible foreffectively organizing, tracking and reporting of Project KPI’s
Lead and Motivate OracleProject team.
Listen, learn and consult.This is a client facing services role where you will interact directly andfrequently with outside business and technical stakeholders.
Lead a team of highlytalented, senior, motivated and self-directed software professionals. Thisis not a job for a micro-manager; it’s a job for a problem avoider /problem solver.
Conduct day-to-day clientcommunications. Build credibility and trust. Promote transparency. Manageexpectations.
Represent the teameffectively by keeping things realistic. Avoid slippage. Mitigate risk.
Establish credibility byclimbing the curve to understand anything - at any level of depth -related to the project.

Oversee the entire softwaredevelopment life cycle: Gather Requirements. Review requirements. Authorspecifications. Write stories. Build task lists. Run status reviews.Prioritize. Manage scope. Track Velocity. Re-prioritize. Update thebacklog. Stay a step or two ahead.
5 years managing softwareprojects with at least 5 resources
Communication skills,including polished presentation skills: you will regularly present projectstatus / demo software to all levels client organizations.
Experience taking proactiveaction to improve project velocity and code reliability.
A knack for herding businessanalysts, software engineers, QA resources, and customers and proactivelymicro-managing team members when needed to make sure stuff gets done.
The experience and maturityto communicate with customers and handle difficult conversations; totackle problems head on.
Experience withunderstanding of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessmentand issue resolution.
Knowledge of POS and theretail industry is a plus.
Some domestic andinternational travel may be needed during project kick off, requirementgathering phase or during important project milestones.
Candidates must be able tocommit to up to 75% travel if needed depending on Customer needs.
Candidates must be fluentboth orally and written in English and German.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
As a member of the Consulting organization, you are responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client
- s satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.
Creates and manages an overall project plan (including budget, structure, schedule, and staffing needs) for one or more Oracle engagements. Monitors and reports progress/changes against the plan. Drives implementation by providing motivation and direction.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. A BS or BA in related fields. 5-7 year overall experience in functional or technical role. Two years experience in multi-dimensional issue resolution.
