Field Marketing Placement

This position is focused on (but not limited to) developers, a

critically important and influential audience for Oracle. We want win the hearts

and minds of developers, drive developer advocacy, nurture and inspire

developer and technical communities.

We are looking for an ambitious graduate with experience in

marketing, community and event management to join us for a 12-month internship.

The ideal candidate will understand cloud technologies, including the current

industry landscape, with an understanding of developer technologies and

application development trends. As part of the marketing team they must have

excellent written (experience in copywriting / editorial in the social media

space is preferred) and verbal communications, and experience working with a

variety of social and event management platforms. The role will encompass some

event management, therefore they must be comfortable with creating, executing

and analysing events.

Externally, this individual will interact directly with the

developers and key influencers/organisations in the community. Internally this

individual will work closely with Oracle Evangelists, Product management,

Business Development and report into the wider Field Marketing team in the UK

and Ireland for Cloud Platform.

The Programme

This is a 12 month paid Internship. While working with Oracle, you

will take part in marketing training and work on projects where you’ll make a

real impact.

What we are looking for:

  • Graduate in Marketing, Media and Communications (or

similar), with work experience in either the technology and/or communications

industry

  • A self-motivated individual, with demonstrated

ability to work independently and as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of end-to-end marketing and event

campaigns

  • Experience in managing social media channels and/or

online communities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

with attention to detail

  • Comfortable learning new applications and systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support field marketing activities, including

physical and online events, demand generation, online marketing, social PR, AR,

advertising, etc.

  • Help drive Oracle’s corporate and field marketing

strategic initiatives for developers

  • Execute the local field marketing go-to-market

strategies and campaigns for developers

  • Assist with development, analysis (using the

self-serve analytics tools within social platforms, alongside Oracle

technologies), and documentation of marketing projects and tasks

  • Track metrics around participation, views,

comments, and online interactions, analysing to improve outreach.

  • Write, review and edit copy

Critical Success Factors:

Successful candidate must be an enthusiastic self-starter capable of

working both independently and in a team environment. Has superior writing and

verbal communication skills. Lastly, they are self-motivated with ability to

prioritise tasks and working a fast-paced dynamic environment.
