This role is available on the OCI Data and AI Solutions Customer Success team, as a Product Manager for our Data and AI platform offerings. We are addressing complex and interesting challenges at the intersection of data, artificial intelligence/machine learning and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. We have several service offerings on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

In this role, we develop end-to-end solution architectures to address customer use cases (fraud, customer churn and product recommendations, etc.) using OCI Data and AI Services. We ensure all the services are well integrated and work, cohesively, as a single solution. We are responsible for inter-operability between the services. We drive go-to-market (GTM) strategy and customer adoption all the services for OCI Data and AI portfolio. We thrive for Customer Success.

As a Cloud Product Manager on the team, you will spearhead the mission to build and deliver innovative Data and AI powered cloud solutions to address complex customer use cases. You will own and drive innovative, beyond the industry standard, product strategy that addresses our customer’s business challenges. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to take the solution from a simple idea, all the way to market. As one of the leaders on the team, you will play a key role in shaping OCI’s strategy & product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize product strategy and vision across all of OCI.

  • Develop detailed product gaps and integration challenges between the services and then communicate those gaps and challenges to service owners.

  • Work, directly, with key customers to understand their requirements, decipher blockers and translate the feedback into actionable items for individual service owners.

  • Interface, closely, with individual service owners, product managers, and program management to address any gaps in the respective services, in a timely fashion.

  • Evaluate markets trends and know the competitive landscape, in depth.

  • Drive product launches, including working with: sales and presales field teams, marketing resources and our customers to ensure a successful release/launch.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 7 years of combined experience in Product Management and Solutions architecture

  • Experience in developing and delivering data, machine learning and AI-driven solutions

  • Proven track record for shipping/launching entirely new products/services and customer adoption.

  • Ability to define & shape the business strategy for large product areas.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong and experienced customer focus and engagement.

  • Able to engage, communicate and manage customer CxO relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in a technical discipline/MBA

  • Experience working on a public cloud service, and in-depth knowledge of IaaS/PaaS industry and competitive capabilities

  • Experience working on data centric services like: Databricks, Spark, EMR and Hadoop

  • Strong customer success focus. Able to engage, communicate, and manage customer CxO relationships

  • Domain knowledge of: Big Data, Machine Learning end-to-end life cycle and AI centric services like NLP/NLU and Image recognition services

  • Domain knowledge of data driven solution architectures

  • Domain knowledge around real time data management/streaming or log stream processing

  • Specific knowledge of certain industries and drivers of potential projects

  • Hands-on experience conducting demonstrations (demos) using tools and related services that show the potential value of solutions

  • Hands-on experience in developing prototypes that include multiple services

  • Domain knowledge of data integration, Python, DB, SQL, ETL, Data Quality and Data Governance is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
