Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Your main duties will be to:

  • To work in conjunction with the regional Business Insurance teams and underwrite and process new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.

  • To process and input new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments onto current IT systems.

  • Obtain adequate information to enable the selection of high quality business.

  • Adequately price and classify risks in accordance with the Underwriting Guidelines and rating consideration, liaising with Actuarial Department as required.

  • Ensure that all business written is within the gross and net capacity agreed each year in the structure of our ceded reinsurance programme.

  • Accurately prepare and issue policy documentation for customers within the agreed service standards.

  • Assist Credit Control department with collection of overdue payments.

  • Seek out and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in other business units and regions (and in particular the Global Advocates team) to foster business development across Travelers.

Ideally with previous experience in a similar role you will be responsible for underwriting and processing new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments for our Global policies.

  • Preferably a degree education (or equivalent).

  • You will typically have proven experience in Underwriting.

  • General knowledge of the local insurance marketplace.

  • General knowledge of technical underwriting.
