Ergonomics Specialist

Preferred Qualifications


This position will reporting to

the Ergonomics Program Manager and will conduct all ergonomic evaluations and

market the ergonomic program for the Redwood Shores and San Francisco sites.

Tasks may also include general support for the HQ Region Environment Health and

Safety (EHS) Department, as needed.


This position is based in the Redwood

Shores campus, but may require occasional travel to other campuses in the HQ

Region in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Job Duties

Duties include, but are not

limited to:

  • Performing ergonomic evaluations in an officeenvironment.

  • Scheduling ergonomic evaluations and follow-uprequests.

  • Processing ergonomic recommendations andsubmitting service requests.

  • Ergonomic evaluation recordkeeping and filing.

  • Assisting with ergonomic move processes.

  • Assisting with updating ergonomic accessoriesstandards catalog and other related documents.

  • Participation in EHS team meetings, whenapplicable.

  • Assisting with marketing of the ergonomicprogram.

  • Conducting ergonomic training.


  • BA/BS inOccupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Health & Safety,Environmental Engineering/Management, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management,or related experience.

  • 0-3years of experience in office ergonomics

  • Abilityto use e-mail, calendar, and internet

  • Proficient inExcel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Goodcommunication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellentverbal and written skills and ability to interact with employees of all levels,including external customers, and vendors

  • Detail-oriented

  • Abilityto multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Good skills indeveloping and delivering presentations to employees of all levels.


a) Collaborates in the creation of the annual

EHS budget for region or site of responsibility.

b) Reviews/updates budget report and/or

quarterly budget variance report for consistency and accuracy of payments as

directed by EHS Manager.

c) Provides justification for unbudgeted

ergonomic related projects.

d) Seeks to identify cost savings or more

effective purchasing alternatives.


a) Completes regular activities report

according to schedule and format to communicate ergonomic trends.

b) Maintains document management system such

that documents can be easily retrieved to demonstrate ergonomic accommodations.

c) Maintain and develop ergonomic metrics.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulations.

Review programs/policies to ensure compliance with emerging or changing regulations. Consult with Facilties team to provide support and direction regarding Oracle's compliance. Conduct site audits. Responsible for tracking and reporting injury or illness to appropriate agencies and investigate to determine corrective actions. May provide EHS training to include development of training course.

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Graduate with 0 - 2 year related work experience. Knowledge of regulations and fire codes. Safety certification desired. Presentation skills. Self starter. Detail oriented. Excel proficient.
