Preferred Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support business unit or finance functional management through revenue, OPEX,CAPEX and headcount reporting, and preparing forecasts and budget.

  • Closely partner with finance, Business operations, HR, and other business partner teams on financial aspects of Software Development.

  • Understand Development Expense Drivers for Capex, Co-Location Hosting Services and track budget vs actual on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis

  • Understand the upside and risk potential in the forecasts and help to manage the numbers effectively at the total global level.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Work with both operations and business management to identify and track appropriate performance measures, key performance indicators and associated drivers. Be proactive in reviewing information identifying inconsistencies, trends and issues or management. Drives consistent processes and standard formats.

  • Support the annual budget process for multiple business units across a global organization, providing standard models, guidance on targets and coordinating reviews

  • Prepare financial information and analysis for Quarterly Business Reviews. Communicate to business management and Finance lead, areas of concern and actions required to meet financial commitments.

  • Understand and create schedules that bridge management reporting. Support the execution of key financial targets and metrics through the implementation and coordination of proactive dashboards and measurements.

  • Build and maintain high-level knowledge across all business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges and opportunities across the business.

  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting in support of executive management.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute acquisition integration activities and continuous changes in business and organizational structure.

  • Implement and maintain processes and controls to effectively measure and analyze financial performance given these changes.

  • Participate with other special projects, including system implementations and standardization efforts

  • Drive automation of reporting across all business groups.

  • Knowledge and experience of ERP systems, including Oracle and Hyperion to assist with the analysis of data and presentation of information is an asset

  • 2 years relevant experience

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance or Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering. MBA preferred

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical skills. Ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets of high complexity. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
