The

Retail and Consumer Goods sectors are today being transformed at a pace not

seen since the dawn of the industrial revolution. The way we purchase and

consume things, along with the speed by which they are designed and brought to

market, has placed many traditional retailers and their manufacturer partners

at a historical crossroads.

Consumers,

as well, have begun to adapt to models which make possible products –many

customized to their exact specification– ordered from their couches, delivered

direct to their door steps. Even the grocery trade is now moving to enable

commerce-at-the-speed-of-thought, with pre-prepared orders to be placed in your

car, while you make ancillary purchase decisions in re-imagined “stores of the

future” without passing through a check-out counter. These, and a myriad of

other technology driven, operational, and economic factors in play, present

enormous challenges to our customers, with opportunities for Oracle to serve

them in their quest to go beyond survive to thrive.

In

truth, every business sector –ours as well– now needs to rethink its

go-to-market strategy, including making provision for continuous disruption as

the new normal. This is the work of Oracle’s Consumer Markets Industry Solutions Group , where our job is to

imagine the “art of the possible” by seeking out and creating bleeding-edge

solutions, including the knowledge capital, thought leadership, know-how, and

show-how to accompany. The right player for this role already sees these changes taking place and is both anxious and

excited to join in being part of a future unfolding.

In

this new positon, then, you will have a pivotal role in defining, designing and

helping to create our GTM strategy, including

content development and messaging for addressing our customers and prospects, while

arming our sales organization and partners with best-in-class assets that will

define Oracle as both technically and consultatively superior to any competitor,

well established or new-age.

Objectives

As a member of the Consumer Markets ISG, which is part of Oracle’s

Cloud Business Group, you’ll be contributing to and measured on the following:

  • Defining and creating innovative industry-specific content,

messages, concepts, sales plays and campaigns to influence revenue, while building

share of voice and market

  • Elevating the quality of sales and shortening sales cycles,

with timely and compelling thought leadership

  • Strengthening internal customer and stakeholder

relationships by bringing what they need to your team that we can better serve

a broad and global sales constituency

  • Influencing the influencers, both within Oracle and to external

marketplace, by being recognized for your own subject matter expertise and as a

compelling and articulate thought leader in your own right

  • Not just “thinking on your feet” but thinking ahead and challenging

standard conventions, while pushing yourself and your team-mates to lean into

the great challenges and opportunities presented by these unique times.

  • Integrating industry strategy, customer

operational objectives, and business process understanding to define clear an actionable

approaches, linked to our various solution development plans

  • Sales asset development, including

battle-cards, solution roadmaps and scripts, presentation-ware, sales training,

development and support

  • White paper and webinar development,

monthly newsletters and weekly feeds, blogs and tweets

  • Contributing to industry thought

leadership by seeking out what’s already market hot, even as you explore the

edges of technologies near and imagined, their capabilities and

industry-specific possibilities, means and methods.

SoughtAfter Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a background in B:B marketing,

with experience in sales outreach and support. As well…

  • Work experience in marketing

communications, necessary, with a background in Retail/Consumer Goods, advantageous

  • Expert

Knowledge of best practices in social media, social listening and selling, and

influencer programs; history of developing and/or managing compelling social

content (newsletters, blog posts, tweets, etc.) expected

  • Analytical and problem solving skills,

and strong management consulting skills to influence thinking or gain

acceptance of multiple customer constituencies, expected

  • Executive presence in communicating

with senior audiences, internal/external, with confidence and authority,

  • Outstanding oral and presentation skills,

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly

and participate on strategic projects with varied industry focuses and business

  • Proven aptitude for working in a

virtual, global team environment, with the ability to find and sustain consensus

  • Knowledge of Cloud computing, SaaS, ERP, CRM,

HCM (HR and Talent), as well as emerging technologies, including IoT, IR, AR

and AI, highly preferred

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Ability to work with Executives. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic.
