Preferred Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be part of Global Business Unit (GBU) Finance team, reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance. You will contribute both individually and by collaborating closely with the VP of Finance and other finance team members, both locally and at a distance. Responsibilities will include both routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting and to work on various business reviews presentations for the EVP and his team for CEO reviews. The candidate must have strong organization skills and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment where he/she often operate independently and under tight timelines.

  • Member of a small GBU Cloud Finance team.

  • In conjunction with the Senior Director of GBU Cloud Finance, provide direct support to the VP of GBU Finance on:

  • SaaS revenue forecast/budgeting/Long Range Plan modeling and actual reporting with an emphasis on

  • Understanding individual solution Cloud revenue models

  • ATR

  • Project SaaS

  • Roll up the results and prepare business level explanations

  • Responding to Corporate and GM inquiries

  • Participate as the GBU Finance representation on Corporate Cloud reporting initiatives and drive system solutions for GBU Cloud reporting

  • Assist/lead on GBU specific reporting indicatives

  • Special project work, examples of which may include

  • The economics of the Support to Cloud migration by solution

  • Cancellation trends with business explanations

  • Job interfaces with many levels in the organization from VP Finance and his/her direct reports, Corporate Finance, individual Financial Analysts and Business Operations, Cloud GPO

  • Provide support on strategic projects for the VP of GBU Cloud Finance as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred, MBA or CPA a plus

  • Minimum of 8 years finance/accounting experience (MBA is equivalent to two years’ experience)

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in Oracle Financials. Strong analysis and research skills. Ability to partner across functions. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
