This role is available on the OCI Data and AI team as a Senior Director of Product Management for our AI Services and Data Science platform offerings. We are addressing complex and interesting challenges at the intersection of data, artificial intelligence/machine learning and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. We have several service offerings on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. In this role, you would be responsible for the definition and successful delivery of capabilities that accelerate developers applying AI/ML to their solutions and data scientists using our services to build, deploy, and operate machine learning models.
As a Senior Director of Product Management , you will lead a team of Product Management leaders who ensure both inbound and outbound success of Oracle AI and Data Science services. You will own and drive the creation of new services and capabilities and product strategy that addresses our customer’s business challenges to create differentiated value in the market. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to define, build, operate, and grow the business of AI/ML services in the cloud at Oracle. As a key leader on the team, you will play a critical role in shaping OCI’s strategy & products and growing the team.
Define and understand target markets and build products that leverage Oracle’s unique strengths in data to lead in those markets
Evangelize product strategy and vision with stakeholders.
Work, directly, with key customers to understand their requirements, decipher blockers and translate the feedback into actionable items to improve service offerings and create new products.
Interface, closely, with field sellers and solution architects to address any gaps in the respective services, ina timely fashion.
Evaluate markets trends and know the competitive landscape, in depth.
Drive product launches, including working with: sales and presales field teams, marketing resources and our customers to ensure a successful release/launch.
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
10 years of combined experience in Product Management and Solutions architecture
Proven track record for shipping/launching entirely new products/services and products/services customer adoption in the cloud.
Ability to define & shape the business strategy for large product areas.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong and experienced customer focus and engagement.
Able to engage, communicate and manage customer CxO relationships.
MS in a technical discipline/MBA
Experience working on a public cloud service, and in-depth knowledge of IaaS/PaaS industry and competitive capabilities
Experience working on AI-centric domains such as machine learning platforms or AI services.
Strong customer focus. Able to engage, communicate, and manage customer CxO relationships
Domain knowledge of: Big Data, Machine Learning end-to-end life cycle and AI centric services like NLP/NLU and Image recognition services
Breadth of different services across different cloud offerings is a plus
Domain knowledge of data driven solution architectures
Domain knowledge around real time data management/streaming or log stream processing
Specific knowledge of certain industries and drivers of potential projects
Hands-on experience conducting demonstrations (demos) using tools and related services that show the potential value of solutions

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a Senior Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience preferred.
