own the PaaS division customer and business software, standards, and

optimization of the business. This

includes product instrumentation technology and standards for understanding

usage across products, product SLA and DR standards, understanding active users

and product scenario success from instrumentation, the product implementation

of new and creative business models, and designing software across the division

for customer success moving to the latest products and business models. If you’ve learned how to take cutting edge

readiness to expand their impact across a division.

Responsibilities and qualifications:

This position will own major product initiatives across the

products in the PaaS division. The

top Executive buyoff across business and

engineering divisions is a part of the work, as is coming up with innovative

product designs that impact the division revenue and customer satisfaction in

significant ways.

The ideal candidate has managed large-scale cloud services

and has worked on several cloud products and technologies. They are familiar with design patterns

involved in integrated cloud products (from overall UX, API and distributed

architecture design, to common technology areas involved, such as Identity,

integration, and management. The ability

to identify the key customer scenarios and market value that drives key

decisions, lead cross-functional teams to an innovative solution is key. Senior leadership level experience in cloud

products in technical program management/product management for 7-10 years,

working with executives, and hands on design and ability to drive

specifications/designs as required, and experience managing PM or Engineering

teams is expected.

Some travel between US engineering centers may be required.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a Senior Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience preferred.
