Senior Business Analyst

Preferred Qualifications

Design and analyze internal operational reporting & modeling for the Global Finance Operations team with a focus on simplification, standardization & automation. This includes issuance & analysis of KPI reports, quarterly operations review packages, and providing project management of key automation efforts, all in support of enabling an efficient, effective & data driven organization.

Detailed Description:

  • 5-8 years’ experience in these following areas

  • Analyze global reporting to summarize and present operational results to senior management. Be able to “tell the story” in an up leveled, visually descriptive format to convey key observations management can clearly understand.

  • Responsibilities also include analysis of the operational reports in order to drive improvements across the processes and assisting in the completion of quarterly and year end reviews.

  • Develop new KPI reporting that provides necessary data to enable senior management to drive short term business decisions and determine long term strategic direction.

  • Ability to transform data in to relevant information/recommendations that demonstrates value within the organization, promotes operational efficiencies, and drives changes in behavior both inside and outside of the organization.

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills within team and with senior management.

  • Advanced level Excel skills required; additional skills in Alteryx or other data preparation/blending tools, as well as, data visualization experience are beneficial.

  • Advanced analytics using statistical methods and predictive models

  • Experience using Python and/or R language to build advanced analytical reporting

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization

  • s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8 plus years relevant work experience.
