We are Cloud Solutions and part of Oracle Applications Labs. We are the team that builds and runs Oracle's corporate systems for all Cloud revenue. Our mission is twofold; first is to showcase Oracle Cloud OCI and PaaS via internal systems development that run in our public Cloud. The second is to build core subscription and customer management systems for all of our Cloud customers and revenue for employees and customers alike.

We use all the latest modern web technologies, for mobile and desktop, from React to Solr to Java to BI, all running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, to provide the best Cloud customer experience possible.

We are currently in need of a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager to join our Cloud BI team so that we can rely on their expertise to drive and lead Cloud BI programs, track progress, and manage issues.This specific role requires deeper understanding and experience with Cloud BI, analytics and reporting systems.

Additionally, TPMs create project schedules, track milestones and technical issues, effectively communicate project status and suggest changes to use company resources more efficiently. TPMs identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements. They define strategies, regularly participate in executive meetings to present their progress, and share project information with stakeholders. Specific responsibilities for this role include:

Specifically, you will:

  • Drive Cloud BI projects across OAL and Corporate systems, manage stakeholder communication, participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, manage risks.

  • Engage and collaborate with business and development stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirement.

  • Understand project requirements and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize them.

  • Apply project management discipline to develop plans, define scope, document requirements, and manage budget/schedule/resources for a complex group of projects.

  • Drive various phases of a project from conception to delivery.

  • Own establishing and managing multiple project deliverables, communicating project and program vision and ensuring IT resources are aligned properly.

  • Utilize both agile and waterfall methodologies, driving technical and functional teams to complete critical path actions in a timely fashion.

  • Maintain a high level of organization and planning while communicating with stakeholders to reach timelines and maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Independently identify risks, manage corrective action plans when budget or schedule deviations occur, and escalate / communicate project health to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Ensure operational technical readiness for all phases of the product cycle

  • Actively partner with Cloud teams to ensure appropriate processes and templates are utilized for project and program success.

  • Look for process definition and improvement opportunities and lead others in adhering to existing IT processes and contributing to their improvement.

  • Ensure service teams meet the operational bar while continuing to raise the bar for the organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies like SAFe, Scrum, Kanban etc.

  • Experience in managing and executing large-scale, complex technical projects and delivering high quality products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.

  • Experience with Cloud data , BI, Analytics, Reporting applications, SQL databases, objects, EDWs, datastores.

  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
