The Database Security Program Office aims to provide database customers with the most secure products and services for their enterprises. We work on projects that make our products resilient to exploitation. We establish and drive to a high level of security criteria, and conduct security consulting and review for engineering. As a member of the Security Program Office team, you will help drive our commitment to enterprise security. Top candidates are passionate about many areas of security, improving security of our products, and are recognized experts in one or more specific topics.
Perform security design review and code reviews.
Provide security consultancy and advice to test and development teams, helping them achieve their design and release objectives.
Educate and advocate security and safe coding practices in our products.
Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against our products and services.
Develop technical solutions that measure our effectiveness in testing for security vulnerabilities.
Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and make security easier for developers.
4 years relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of: Oracle database security and C/C /java code vulnerabilities, as well as experience with the enterprise software security models
Significant development experience in C, C or Java.
Foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
