Americas is a very big potential market for growth for VSG and software products. we need to ensure we have a senior sales manager able to focus on developing the strategic accounts along with managing day to day activities with the sales managers in place and with the account managers.

Job Description:

This person is in charge to manage sales and engineer in Americas and develop business opportunities for our 3D product lines in the commercial, research and academic in the fields of Materials Sciences – industrial inspection / Life Sciences / Geosciences-Oil &Gas. He/she analyzes major opportunities, prepares strategies/account management plans; influences management and individuals to obtain resources needed to achieve agreed upon sales strategy, plan and goals. He develops and implements effective utilization of resources to maximize the business potential of assigned accounts to achieve business objectives and personal goals.

The candidate will assist the team with customer and could manage direct sales for some markets or key accounts.

  • Manage a team of 13-15 people based in North America, primarily in Houston (3 are home office). Coach and mentor the team to improve their performance.

  • Set up action plan to grow the market on the entire Americas territory.

  • Provides weekly forecast on business, with risks and action plan.

  • Clearly report on goals and KPIs.

  • Assign sales territories, set sales quotas with management.

  • Organize and prioritize work and task of sales and engineers to be more effective.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction. Visit customers with the team to propose high level offer and support of key customers.

  • Analyze growing market and propose strategy.

  • Develop strategy to penetrate key account.

  • Identifies potential customers and evaluates need resulting from market/territory analysis; and financial ability compared to offerings in product, solution, services, as well as solution availability.

  • Prepares/recommends and implements sales strategy that may involve: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, proposing, closing and installing.

  • Effectively and efficiently utilizes resources such as application and system engineering to meet customer needs and increase sales in the assigned territory.

  • Identifies/recommends strategic sales direction. Stays current with competition and potential solution offerings. Identifies need for special research projects. Forecasts sales orders from assigned accounts.

  • Identifies competitor's activities.

Experience / Other Requirements:

  • Typically requires experience in interacting and selling business software and/or professional services and solutions to universities commercial and large commercial organizations.

  • Sales experience in software is a major plus.

  • Knowledge in any or all of the following fields of 3D: 3D Electron microscopy, 3D microscopy (confocal, optical..) 3D X-ray, industrial 3D CT inspection, 3D, metrology, 3D CT, 3D MRI, 3D CT scanning services, 3D measurement and analysis, 3D Software solutions, quality compliance with Digital technologies.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Prior experience in using effective networking and negotiation techniques. Must have ability to understand and explain company products and potential applications; Demonstrated proficiency in leading and participating in a distributed team environment.

  • Experience in above markets is a plus.

  • Ability to understand and explain relevant issue and high skill of problem solving.

  • Ability to use reporting tool (CRM tools) and sales and strategy method.

  • About 35% travel is required

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or master degree preferable.
