Location/Division Specific Information

Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) - Our group is comprised of several different sales teams for Clinical Diagnostics representing a variety of different product lines: Diagnostic Reagents for drug of abuse screening, therapeutic and immunosuppressant monitoring, serum toxicology, endocrine, specimen validity testing, and sepsis testing; Clinical chemistry and Molecular controls; Particle Technology; and Corporate Accounts.

How will you make an impact?

The Sales Specialist for the Clinical Diagnostics Division is responsible for improving current relationships and establishing new customers by managing the sales of the Kryptor Analyzer, Biomarkers assays, consumables and services within the US. The Kryptor Sales Specialist will work directly with and through our Healthcare Market Division partner to drive Commercial results and provide customer centric solutions.

What will you do?

  • Lead the collaborative development and implementation of Biomarker strategies and business plans to drive growth in target accounts, identifying key areas of short-term and long-term growth.

  • Develop a business plan for each targeted account; monitor and report progress regularly and advise the Sales Director of the results.

  • Establish customer pricing within defined ranges, providing price quotations and assist in preparing Bid documents, processes specifications, progress, and other reports.

The Instrument Sales Specialist will work effectively with channel partners, conduct market analysis and evaluate new business opportunities to create a winning value proposition. Also, maintaining positive relationships with business unit personnel for service and/or technical support, marketing and client/customer purchasing agents. You’ll also assist in the forecasting and the projection of sales from new and existing customers for both reagents and instruments. The Sales Specialist has the ability to travel without limitation with a willingness and ability to travel overnight (at least 50%).

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or sciences required.


  • 7+ years of relevant commercial diagnostic sales experience working in partnership with senior level stakeholders

  • Demonstrated success and strength in developing strong customer relationships and translating customer business goals and challenges into company-provided solutions and services.

  • Energetic, motivated and resourceful.

  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic selling, negotiating, presentation and financial/business acumen.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for group presentations, customer sales presentations, and intercompany written and verbal communications.

  • Attend various trade shows and assist in booth staffing.

  • Work extensively with SFDC ( CRM to manage customer account base and Qualify sales leads, answer inquiries and maintain accurate records of activities using approved CRM software (Salesforce). Prior experience with preferred.

  • Participate as a team member with the channel partners, marketing team and MSL team, on the coordination of initiatives with targeted accounts.

  • Build strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders, (e.g., ICU, ED, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Administration, etc.) to advance CDD’s access and opportunities.

  • Provide market insight and input into commercial tools, programs and processes that can be leveraged broadly across the organization, including portfolio and pricing strategies.

  • Proven track record of sales and strategic account development success in equipment, consumables, or reagents in in-vitro diagnostics or biotechnology accounts.

  • Ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Proven ability to coordinate activities and influence actions of our commercial and channel representatives to drive strategic initiatives.

  • Must complete and maintain vendor credentialing
