Job Title: Senior Manager, Sales – Chromatography and Trace Elemental

The Sr. Manager, Sales Chromatography and Trace Elemental is one of the regional commercial leaders for the Chromatography and Trace Elemental business. With responsibility of the Northeast region, this role supports the business by ensuring the organization is executing on strategic initiatives that support the value proposition, have a focus on customer allegiance and ensure annual revenue targets are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a product line specific Goal Tree aligned with division and corporate.

  • Implement and manage an optimal sales organization for the successful distribution of your product line in the region.

  • Supports the annual CMD strategic planning process (development and execution).

  • Supervises direct reports and establishes all necessary activities to ensure the success of the organization. Provide a leverage of Coaching/mentorship across the team

  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts for all Chromatography and Trace Elemental businesses. Leverage SFDC tools and data analytics to improve overall forecasting accuracy

  • Leverage the Commercial tools (SFDC, KPI and CPQ) to drive efficiency across the commercial organization and across the business

  • Proactivity work with the CoE teams and drive effective/efficient Pre/Post-Sales support for our customers

  • Ensure achievement of Sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Deliver on growth targets for the region. Drive a hunter mentality

  • Work with Thermo Fisher Scientific Corporate Account Managers and other Commercial teams to drive growth and support at existing and new national accounts

  • Visits customers regularly to promote strategic relationships and to identify new business opportunities

  • Regularly communicates the status of its sales organization and current market condition to leadership. Drive effective communication strategy throughout your team

  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and applicable laws.

  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific by clearly and consistently communicating Thermo Fisher Scientific mission, vision, values and objectives to both our employees and end-user customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in the relevant product lines (GC, TEA, IC/SP, HPLC, DIA)

  • Experience of business-to-business interactions

  • Strong Leadership & Commercial experience

  • Degree level qualification in relevant (numerate) subject from an accredited institution or equivalent professional qualification or work experience; advanced degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of successful sales management experience.

  • Track record in achieving or exceeding commercial management objectives on a consistent basis.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English).
