Process Engineer (Relocation Assistance Available)

Job Description:

We're looking for a Process Engineer to join our team at Arrow Electronics in Reno, NV. This individual will be the link between engineering, information technology, and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of process improvements, analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our processes and software.

- Relocation assistance is available for non-local highly qualified candidates. -

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Have In-depth knowledge of Distribution Processes (SME)

  • Help secure requirements, document operational procedures, build training documentation, brainstorm and cement testing scenarios for new functionality, coordinate discussions with key business stakeholders and drive signoffs with Engineering, Logistics operations and IT, and provide testing support to ensure solutions meet the requirements

  • Document test scenarios for regression testing across the various applications used within the facility

  • Work closely with the GLS and GLA teams to identify and block the right SME’s in the business to close any open items

  • Schedule UAT testing windows to ensure that target timelines are met for the overall business

  • User Support in troubleshooting both application and business process issues

  • Engagement with the business and providing status updates, facilitating calls with operations, business and leadership

Job Complexity

  • Understanding of Warehouse, Logistics, and Labor management

  • Proficient at developing and executing business process specific test scenarios

  • Superior verbal and writing communication skills, interpersonal skills, strong adaptability skill and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating with internal customers to help support and enhance business systems

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment including the ability to work collaboratively with business users

  • Ability to work independently on development projects

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes

What We're Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of experience in process engineering roles: process/system (WMS/LMS) strategy, improvement and testing

  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field or equivalent related experience

  • Previous experience in logistics / distribution

  • Previous experience working for a large public corporation

  • Experience in technical writing: writing business documentation

Even Better if You Have:

  • Experience with WCS (Warehouse Control Systems, YMS (Yard Management Systems), TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
