Kaiser Permanente Senior Manager Organizational Effectiveness/Organizational Development in Renton, Washington
The role's primary responsibility is to lead local organizational design and development processes, providing leadership for successful change management and working collaboratively with KPWA leaders and employees to enhance organizational capability and capacity. The Sr. Manager, in collaboration with other members of the Human Resources team and business units, will partner with stakeholders to identify and implement OD strategies that support KPs succcess. The Sr. Manager will maintain a focus on KP's organizational health, anticipating organizational risks and developing effective mitigation strategies. Responsible for the program's budget and key success metrics.
Plan and direct OD/change management and organiational design projects based on the goals and objectives of business unit performance requirements, including mentor, training, performance management, change management and other OD methods, tools, and process to improve overall organizational effectiveness. Advocate for process and program improvements and champion for system-wide change that leads to meaningful results and organization effectiveness.
Work with HRBPs to manage, prioritize and resource the intake of OD/OE/Change and Org Design needs.
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in leading organizational development initiatives in medium-to-large sized corporate environments.
Minimum five (5) years of experience managing a team focused on delivering talent management and leadership developent iniatives.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Education (Adult Learning).
License, Certification, Registration
Strong business and financial acumen. A connector of national and local business priorities and the various needs of the business.
Ability to use analytics and data to set strategy and identify and drive appropriate solutions.
Ability to work and collaborate with employees at all levels and across different functions including senior leadership and executives.
Excellent leadership communication and listening skills - ability to effectively align team members to a shared goal.
Strong coaching skills with demonstrated influence and leadership with team members and meembers across the organization to achieve the best successful outcome.
Effectively manage change and transformation across KP.
Ability to build productive and sustainable working relationships with management and team members across functions and divisions at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively facilitate process and consult with a variety of individuals/groups from senior leaders to front line team members across a range of (simple to complex) topics.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to tailor message to audience.
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions to complex challenges and future opportunities.
Well-developed understanding of methodologies and approaches for adult learning, learning transfer methods, leadership development, change management, project management, performance management, and mentorship.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior leaders.
Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
Health care or health insurance knowledge preferred.
Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR) is preferred by date of hire/transfer.
Master's or professional degree (MBA or MA) in Human Resources or Organizational Development or a related field.
