Development and execution of digital and print content that is customer-centric, supports strategic priorities, is on-brand, and delivers measurable results through the use of strong creative expertise and understanding of the digital environment. Find, shape and work with SMEs to develop customer-centered content through interviews, research and staying attuned to health care environment. Master an understanding of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington products and services. Write and edit for a wide range of mediums with results that are accurate and highly engaging
Participate in strategic conversations that establish project-specific direction. Cultivate a solid understanding of audiences with customer journeys and personas. Use research and analysis in a proactive way to measure results and rationalize decisions. Assist in re-purposing and diversifying content across a variety of channels.
Oversee the work of in-house and external agency content creators. Articulate creative and messaging objectives. Provide clear, constructive feedback. Guide others on use of brand voice and use of house style.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in marketing communications as a writer.
Bachelor's degree OR a minimum four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) is required.
License, Certification, Registration

Able to write in a compelling and clear way for print, digital, video mediums; Expert-level knowledge of best-practices such as interviewing sources, pairing words and visuals, creating appropriate tone, setting messaging hierarchy and organizing content; Expert knowledge of grammar, usage and style; Able to articulate creative rationale and to synthesize and incorporate feedback.
Ability to effectively oversee the work of writers and editors.
High attention to detail.
Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, web-based email applications, basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML and CCS coding capabilities.
Able to work at a fast pace in a lead role on a project team to manage complex works, multiple deadlines, competing priorities; Work effectively in a collaborative environment and use interpersonal skill to resolve differences.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity within a dynamic and fluid environment.
Ten (10) or more years in marketing communications as a writer.
Healthcare experience is preferred.
Expert understanding of health care and coverage products and services.
Understanding of inbound marketing methodologies, including customer personas, journeys, and the marketing sales funnel; Ability to determine appropriate content and formats; Understanding and best practice knowledge of cross-platform digital deployment methods (email, social media, banner ads, Ad words, subscription services, landing pages, blogs, websites, etc); Understanding of SEO and SEM; how to work with analytics to incorporate search terms/keywords into projects as appropriate; Ability to analyze metrics and use findings in a relevant way experience with social media on a professional level - managing posts, creating and uploading content, scheduling promoted posts, and social analytics experience with web updates either in code or using a Content Management System.
Able to analyze complex situations and use a balance of logical and creative thinking to develop forward-thinking solutions.
Expert-level knowledge of journalism, UX/UI principles, advertising, direct marketing, interactive design, video, photography, brand voice and tone.
