Job Description

IBM Federal Market is currently seeking an Unstructured Data Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for driving sales of IBM's Software Defined Storage technologies including Spectrum NAS, Spectrum Scale, Spectrum Discover and Cloud Object Storage in conjunctions with IBM's full storage portfolio. This position is at the North America, Federal Market (Navy Territory). Location will be determined based on best candidate's location.

Unstructured Data Sales Specialist are sellers and technical seller to IBM clients and business partners. You'll be expected to lead from the front as a Federal Market resource for strategic, customer facing opportunities centered around our Unstructured Data portfolio. You'll deliver industry centric business solutions to clients, partners and integrators within the Federal market. As a client-facing, sales/technical professional, you will be guided by IBM's purpose –to be essential to its clients; help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s proven hardware, software defined (SDSS) and Hybrid cloud-based storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Use business acumen to understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape.

· Collaborate with in Market IBM Sales, Technical and Services teams to define, design, and detail the aspects and feasibility of proposed integrated solutions

· Work with the Federal Market extended technical team and sales teams to deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), support critical situations

· Actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s proven unstructured data solutions

· Work with IBM Business partners to supplement their existing stills and provide direction in engaging with Unstructured Data resources

· Apply IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

· At least 8 years in IT Sales or pre sales engineering

· At least 4 years of experience selling storage hardware and/or software products with strong knowledge of the Unstructured Data Market

· A deep understanding of IBM (Software Defined Storage, COS) and competitive storage products

· Competitive experience in NAS, Object, and Fibre Channel Storage

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

· At least 10 years in IT Sales or pre sales engineering

· At least 8 years of experience selling storage hardware and/or software products with strong knowledge of the Unstructured Data Market

· A deep understanding of IBM (Software Defined Storage, COS) and competitive storage products

· Prior sales team leadership/management experience

· Competitive experience in Cloud and Storage
