What You’ll Get to Do:
We are looking for an outstanding technical resource to leverage broad-based and deep technical AWS knowledge to boost cloud adoption. The responsibilities for this position include conducting customer engagements at various levels with the ability to understand architectures and recommend appropriate technical solutions. In addition, the position shall require that the resource remain cognizant of trends in cloud computing and work to remove barriers to cloud adoption.
You will join a small team of talented individuals in the Sponsor’s Program Office for a cloud computing services program in the Business Operations group, specifically working on the Support Team and providing matrixed support to other internal groups, as needed.
Designs and develops solutions to complex applications problems.
Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities and workflows.
Incorporates engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the Sponsor’s infrastructure.
Develops future technology and architectural advancements to support architectural strategy, technology migration and integration and evolution.
Applies knowledge of enterprise IT needs to design improved processes, and generate valid requirements.
Acts as an advisor and proposes changes based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
Works with appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies between proposed IT system and enterprise quality standards.
Performs technical planning, verification and validation, and costing analyses for systems moving to the cloud. Identifies and determines process/procedural solutions to customer problems.
Educate users in technical concepts regarding cloud services and features
Participate as a member of a team to assess and recommend a migration strategy to new technologies
Communicate project information through presentations, technical reports or white papers
Create system architectures based on customer requirements and provide advice on project costs, design concepts or design changes
Work with other engineers, programmers, technicians and managers in the design, testing and evaluation of systems and to understand specific systems requirements
Provide frequent contact with customer, traceability within program documents, and the overall computing environment and architecture
Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of cloud systems or to resolve cloud-related issues
Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet customer requirements and ensure successful migration to the cloud
Establish applicable standards and practices for development through the Developer’s Forum(s) and the Sponsor’s Enterprise Technical Architecture
Coordinate with programmers to ensure proper implementation according to system specifications
Attend conferences or training and study technical journals to keep up with changes in technology
Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, compatibility or usability in the cloud ecosystem
Other duties as assigned
Deep technical understanding of AWS and the ability to produce technical solutions
Answer/troubleshoot AWS issues
Produce cloud architectures based on customer requirements
Sound knowledge of Sponsor’s technical landscape
Great communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to work on a dynamic team and manage multiple projects and deadlines
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- AWS Certification (Architect, Developer, or SysOps) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Education and Experience Requirements:
12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree
8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
