CACI International Data Center Network Technician in Reston, Virginia

Job Description

You will be responsible for performing systems integration solutions to include process definition, process improvement and hands-on process implementation for data center installation and decommissioning activity. The primary focus for the position is for installation/de-installation of network cabling throughout the data center and similar IT hardware (network and platform related)

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure data center policies and procedures are followed for all work to include performing oversight of mission partner system installations and decommissions for standards adherence.

  • Provide inventory tracking and updating as necessary to maintain a valid count of materials and supplies.

  • Ability to research, order, test and select new technology products for data center solution delivery.

You will have:

  • Technical experience with infrastructure fiber/cabling installation

  • Functional ability with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MSWord…)

  • Ability to work and communicate well with others in a team setting

  • Must have customer service orientation skills

You will have one of the following:

  • 10 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 8 Years of job related experience and Associate degree

  • 4-7 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 3 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

  • 2 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

You may have:

  • Detail oriented and ability to contribute to documentation for data center policies and procedures

  • Collaborative approach to problem solving

  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet mission needs

  • Flexibility in approach
