Government Security Specialist 4-Fac (US-NSG)

Preferred Qualifications

You will join a team supporting existing programs where you

will be responsible for interpreting, disseminating and implementing the program

security requirements for Special Access Programs (SAP). This includes

personnel security, physical security and security awareness. In

addition, the Government Security Specialist/Contractor Program Security

Officer (CPSO) will help develop and monitor security standards, practices and

procedures. You will be required to work both independently and within a team

environment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can

support overall team success.


  • Conductself-inspections; manage preparations for and representation at securityinspections and audits by government security personnel.

  • Identify establishsecurity training and briefings specifically tailored to the uniquerequirements of the program.

  • Manage SCIF/SAPFsecurity operations and ongoing facility compliance with ICD 705.

  • Assist withadministering Insider Threat Awareness Program.

  • Provide for initialprogram briefing of employees after access approval; refresh and debriefpersonnel as required.

  • Provide classification management support to programsto include preparation and coordination of Program Classification Guides.Assist in the review of media and documents for classified information.

  • Oversee visitor controlprogram.

  • Administer access controlprogram.

  • Manage classified itemslifecycle to include: creation, documentation, storage, transfer anddestruction in accordance with Government procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned

Position requirements

At least five (5) years’ experience in the following areas:

  • Personnel security experience with JPAS

  • Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) operations/management

  • Implementation and administration of security processes and

procedures commensurate with DoD Manual 5205.07

  • Delivering security awareness training and compliance


  • Establishing and administering classified material control

programs, including transfer, transmission, reproduction, destruction and


  • Must meet eligibility requirements for obtaining andmaintaining a U.S. Government security clearance

Required Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years’ experience, or

10 years of experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial

Security Program (NISP) and SAP community

  • Experience working in an accredited SAPF

  • Experience in JPAS and the e-QIP database


  • Experience in the preparation and review of

DD254 forms

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Must be a US citizen with a current Top Secretsecurity clearance

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Ensures Oracle compliance with all US Government security regulations and mandates.

Provides 24/7 responsiveness in support of Oracle's U.S. Government business. Process personnel security clearances and periodic reinvestigations. Monitor classified information systems and controlled areas. Serve as classification management specialists providing classification guidance to employees and subcontractors. Maintain Sensitive Compartment Information Facilities (SCIFs) and respond to after-hour alarms and emergency conditions at a SCIF location. Monitor all external activities and government legislation affecting the organization. Provide recommendations regarding "best practice" business security standards and solutions and guidance to maintain a secure environment for the protection of personnel, property, and information.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.
