Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions Sector is seeking an Information Assurance Engineer who will plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information.More About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Documenting and keeping current all information security rules and policies

  • Advising and consulting on all CIO project related information security issues, control gates, and security review processes in place within the sponsor’s

  • Evaluating emerging and available INFOSEC technologies to enable sponsor’s systems and users to securely share information with customers and the IC

  • Performing evaluation of network and server configurations to identify potential vulnerabilities

  • Performing risk analysis of tested and evaluated networks and systems

  • Developing plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure, as well as to meet emergency data processing needs

  • Conferring with users to discuss issues, such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes

  • Monitoring current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems

  • Performing risk assessments and analysis

  • Executing tests of data processing systems to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures

  • Documenting computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests

  • Reviewing violations of computer security procedures and discussing procedures with violators to ensure violations are not repeated

  • Modeling competing architectures and prototype discrete information security technologies to ensure that applications programs are constructed with the highest security possible in accordance with the sponsor’s directives

  • Preparing information security policy recommendations for presentation to the sponsor’s security boards

  • Evaluating emerging INFOSEC requirements and technologies to assist CIO in identifying a long-term investment strategy

  • Providing INFOSEC engineering support to CIO projects, including the evaluation of proposed analytic tools

  • Identifying viable INFOSEC architectures and designs

  • Analyzing and defining security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues

  • Designing, developing, engineering, and implementing solutions to MLS requirements

  • Gathering and organizing technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and on-going programs in the MLS arena

  • Producing and executing IT service continuity plan, including technical service recovery plans

  • Training users and promoting security awareness to ensure systems security and to improve server and network efficiency

  • Coordinating implementation of computer systems plan with establishment personnel and outside vendors

  • Developing and documenting integrated security architecture to enable or enhance the CIO and sponsor’s platforms via security documentation

  • Collaborating with other organizations on the establishment and management of physical security

  • Providing technical guidance to projects regarding the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process

  • Facilitating Joint Test Teams (JTT) for Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, as required

  • Providing technical resources with security best practices documented via policies and standards

  • Communicating with staff or clients to understand specific systems requirements

  • Communicating project information through presentations, technical reports, or white papers

  • Defining technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems

  • Providing guidelines for implementing secure systems to customers or installation teams

  • Defining the problem and developing systems requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed designs, programs, and tests

  • Coordinating with programmers to ensure proper implementation of the program according to systems specifications

  • Developing requirements for information systems from a project’s inception to conclusion

  • Developing required specifications for simple to complex systems

  • Providing audit and security

  • Participating in security testing and assessments

  • Preparing and presenting briefing material

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in ICD 503 compliance

  • Experience preparing systems security plans, security assessment reports, risk assessment reports, customer responsibility matrices, and security incident response standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Experience preparing security assessment criteria

Candidate must have one of the following:

  • 12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 10 Years of job related experience and Associate’s degree

  • 8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

  • 4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • AWS experience

  • Previous usage of Xacta 360 tool

  • Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) knowledge and/or experience

  • Knowledge of NIST security documentation

  • Core hours: 9:00AM – 3:00PM
