CACI International Project Manager in Reston, Virginia

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Internet Program. As a Project Manager, you must possess extensive experience in managing Information Technology (IT) projects. You also, must possess a good grasp of IT technologies and systems, along with a good understanding of business drivers, processes, and interests.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Utilizing logic and business acumen to offer options and solutions that will address both, technical and functional needs

  • Creating and maintaining project plans for all assigned projects

  • Tracking and reporting on scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timing

  • Blending creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing approaches or developing new approaches

  • Presenting and explaining technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding

  • Gathering functional and technical requirements using standard project management/business analysis methodologies to include, but not limited to, interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, use cases, workflow analysis, etc.

  • Evaluating information gathered and preparing possible solutions to be presented to business units

  • Facilitating and incorporating lessons learned and best practices

  • Implementing project tracking mechanisms to be able to provide timely and concise updates on project progress to

  • senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisions

  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as mission partners and software vendors

  • Establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with senior leadership and functional managers throughout business areas

  • Providing advanced support users, to include diagnosing and resolving issues related to systems and applications and customer processing

  • Providing meeting facilitation, including development of meeting agenda and minutes

  • Accurately capturing and monitoring status of action items through effective tracking tools and communication of progress

  • Managing important IT projects

  • Working with internal team members and external partners to develop project plans and communicate status of projects to stakeholders within and outside of the IT group

  • Operating the planning and coordinating activities of division IT projects, to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

  • Operating the execution of work plans and activities under the division roadmap in accordance with the Project Management Framework

You will have experience with the following:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and proven leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills

  • Must possess excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate to varying levels of organizational management

  • Must possess strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail

  • Must possess demonstrated project leadership skills, including experience with all project lifecycle phases, such as planning, analysis, specifications, quality assurance, process re-engineering, end-user training, and implementation and monitoring of compliance and metrics

  • Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques

  • Must possess the ability to capture thoughts and transform them into appropriate documents, whether it is vision statements, flow diagrams, and/or project charters

  • Must possess hands on experience with implementing the Project Management Framework

  • Must be skilled at building and cultivating relationships during project engagements to ensure project success

  • Formal training in project management methodology

  • Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools, such as Primavera Project Management or MS Project and MS Office Suite

You will have one of the following:

  • 12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 10 Years of job related experience and Associate’s degree

  • 8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

  • 4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • PMI or PM certification is preferred

  • Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities

  • Proven ability to manage in a highly fluid and interactive environment

  • Experience with Agile processes and methodologies
