What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI provides Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support to DOI’s ten Bureaus and 12000+ users of the Financial and Business Management System (FBMS). Our company has approximately 100 team members that have been providing support to DOI for over 10 years in two locations: Denver, CO and Reston, VA. We provide Tier 2 support as well as develop new solutions to optimize FBMS for DOI.

The FBMS solution consists of several software applications but is primarily an SAP-based, enterprise resource planning system that integrates DOI’s financial management functions into a single system. Other key applications include the use of PRISM for acquisition and contract management and various reporting tools including Tableau and SAP Business Objects.

CACI is looking for a Project Manager who will work with the DOI end users to manage various projects for the multiple releases that occur each year. Projects vary in type and complexity. Projects can be related to a FBMS component; e.g., an upgrade or expanded functionality. Or, a project could be associated with the implementation of a new federal mandate or regulatory change. The individual will work closely with the project team and responsible managers managing project efforts that utilize a combination of waterfall and agile project management methodologies.

More About the Role:

  • Develop, create and maintain project plans and Integrated Master Schedules using Microsoft Project (MS)

  • Work with team to identify project tasks including functional, technical, security, development, reporting, training and communication tasks as required for the project

  • Work with the team to sequence project tasks and define cross-team and cross-project dependencies (predecessor/successor relationships)

  • Manage discrete projects of varying complexity using MS Project to track progress

  • Plan and conduct quality phase gates

  • Perform formal risk and issue management

  • Develop standard project artifacts: Charters, communication plans, etc.

  • Perform all phases of project management methodology: Scope planning, project execution, project close-out, change management, scope management, risk management, etc.

  • Manage 3rd party vendors as part of the project as required.

  • Conduct weekly project status meetings capturing team member updates

  • Serve as primary focal point for organization wide coordination and communication regarding assigned projects

  • Create and maintain project work breakdown structures

  • Create and maintain resource plans and schedules

  • Support identification and planning for project cutover activities associated with the assigned release

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of program/project management experience

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Must be able to obtain a NACI clearance

  • Experience with MS Project

  • Experience with Waterfall methodology

  • Demonstrated experience across the primary project management knowledge areas

  • Demonstrated experience managing IT-related multiple, concurrent projects of varying complexity

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Managing IT-related projects in a SAP environment.

  • SAP Public sector experience is preferred.

  • Experience with Agile Methodology
