CACI International Windows Systems Administrator in Reston, Virginia
As a Windows Systems Administrator you will provide tier-three sustainment administration and problem management support for LAN systems, workstations, and peripheral devices (to include both the current system configurations and future systems architecture) worldwide. The Contractor shall provide capacity increases, virtualization and storage support, availability management, service continuity, and on-going security management activities.
Primary responsibilities for the Systems Administrator include providing Tier 3 life cycle Operations & Maintenance (O&M) to include support for problem identification, diagnosis and resolution for enterprise engineering infrastructure. The Contractor shall triage Operating Systems and multiple enterprise global networks prior to escalating to the appropriate Tier 4 personnel. The Systems Administrator provides operations and maintenance support within a large Development and Production Windows Enterprise server environment.
Operating systems include MS Server 2008-2016.
Field system experience is preferred.
Server Administrator executes tasks in the following areas: change request, trouble ticket, routine operation and maintenance, and server rebuild.
Create Change Requests and ACs.
Document system configuration and operational procedures.
Implement baseline changes under tech lead oversight.
Respond to assigned Change Requests that are submitted by “internal” and “external” customers.
Attend TEMs to discuss and agree upon MOAs–ensure MOA is within scope of team’s work.
Create and/or update Asset Management records — responsible for integrity of asset management records.
Resolve Trouble Tickets.
Provide operational pager duty support.
Perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all “supported” servers in response to Help Desk Tickets—which includes but not limited the following activities: Server failures, full system outage, Storage issues.
Restore file and data information from snapshots.
Perform operating system software updates/upgrades.
Monitor/support Netapp Snap mirror Backups.
Create Change Requests for routine deliveries and generate ACs for planned outages.
Assist in server maintenance and special projects, during extended work hours.
Communicate outage/degradation of server to management.
Perform server and storage capacity planning for complex and critical systems.
Implement server recapitalization. Perform server performance tuning. Check baselines and forecasts server performance data and tunes server hardware and software configurations.
Answer users' inquiries regarding server performance and operation related to problem resolution.
Conduct server diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
Some travel may be required.

Candidate must have one of the following:
12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree
8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
Hours: 8-hour shifts M-F 9:00 - 5:00
Rotating 24x7 on call pager duty (once every other month you are required to carry duty pager)
