Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Windows Systems Engineer you will be knowledgeable in multiple current technology areas, including client/server computer operating systems (thick & thin clients), networking hardware, protocols and administration, and system integration across multi-tiered highly secured IT environments. To operate in an open systems environment and client service architectures, the candidate will provide customer support using enterprise solutions software to integrate business areas consistent with today’s technology.

Secondary duties include performing system and server administration, operations, and maintenance support of a large enterprise 24x7 server infrastructure within the following environments: MS Server 2008/2012/2016.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Experience with VDI Technology (Citrix Presentation Server, XenDesktop, XenApp)

  • Experience with Windows Servers

Education & Experience Required:

Candidate must have one of the following:

  • 6 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 4 Years of job related experience and Associate degree

  • 2-3 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 1 Year of job related experience and Master’s degree

Certifications Required:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2016

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with deploying, maintaining and administering virtual machines and networks.

  • Experience with VDI technology

  • Working knowledge of the field environment.

  • Hands on experience supporting and troubleshooting field locations.

  • Experience with complex hardware/software integration.

  • Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status.

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Familiarity with quality assurance, testing and validation processes

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

  • Ability to self-learn, act on own initiative and work in a dynamic environment

  • Provide Tier I & II technical support and leadership in a complex mission critical windows based environment & Citrix Based platforms.
