Eaton Corporation Continuous Improvement Manager in Reynosa, Mexico

Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Reynosa facility.

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible to drive strategic Continuous Improvement Objectives at the operational level while defining and implementing initiatives to ensure the facility's continued success in the deployment of the Eaton Business System. The Continuous Improvement Manager also supervises the manufacturing engineering group providing them with the necessary technical direction to develop an environment which fosters Optimization and Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing Systems including but not limited to Safety, Productivity, Product & Process Quality, and Cost Out.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  • Continuous Improvement Management where main responsibilities are:

  • Implement and deploy Lean tools through the organization

  • Lead Continuous Improvement Events (Kaizens)

  • Improvement and control plant layout

  • Create manufacturing station and manufacturing floor standards

  • Manufacturing System Design lead

  • Leading of the Cost Out program, plant wide

  • Leading of the Continuous Improvement Program (IDEAS)

  • Lead OpA / EBE preparedness; and couch the team in their categories

  • Lead the Yearly Plant Objective Planning Process

  • Leading the ELS deployment and coordination

  • Lead compliance with all ISO 14001/EHS (MESH) and ISO 9001:2008 (EQS) standards, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Define and ensure execution of associates development plans

  • Drive performance reviews at department and individual levels as required

  • Manufacturing Engineering Management where main resposibilities are:

  • Design, implement and validate new manufacturing systems and pursue the continuous improvement

  • Deploy Process Control and Capability through the manufacturing areas

  • Continuous Improvement of Safety Controls in Machines, Equipment and Tools

  • Identify and implement Continuous Improvement Projects in Cost Out and Productivity

  • Implementation of new manufacturing items (new set-up) through AS400 and VISTA

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Science in Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical

  • 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing Environment.

  • Knowledge in ISO/QS/TS Quality Standards

  • Knowledgeable in Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as LEAN and Six-Sigma

  • Development of functional groups in Continuous Improvement areas.

  • Design for Assembly processes and development.

  • Bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Negotiation Skills.

  • Planning and Management of resources.

  • Planning and Control of budgets.

  • Problem Solving Technics and Experience

  • Direct customer management experience desired

  • Ability to develop and execute sustain operational performance and strategic growth

  • Background in advanced manufacturing technologies such as MRP
