Olympus America Inc. Returns Inspector in Richmond Hill, Ontario
In a typical day, you will:
Perform full inspection on Olympus and other manufacturer’s products to meet Olympus Canada Inc. (OCI) quality standards prior to returning to inventory.
Order accessories and/or parts required to replenish Olympus Asset Equipment to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standard.
Accurately process various transactions, utilizing Olympus Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems required.
Receive, Process and book All Return Material Authorization (RMAs) and Service repairs including Trade Ins, Customer and Consignment to verify for correct quantity, correct catalogue number, and correct serial/lot number in appropriate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and forward equipment to appropriate department.
Add items that can’t be received properly to issues log and follows up to help resolve the issue so product can be received.
Completes inspections within standard times and maintains high quality standards.
Ensure that proper tools and devices are utilized when performing inspections.
Ships back customer equipment after repairs.
Performs cycle counts.
Uses forklift to return items to the warehouse.
Proactively participates in the quality systems, quality improvement and "5S" programs as directed by the Supervisor.
Ensures completion of accurate service records and Discrepant Material Notices (DMN). #Meet or exceed all defined Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Maintains confidentiality of documents and processes.
Sort rejected products in the appropriate physical inventory location for final disposition.
Adhere to all policies and procedures.
May be required to perform support business needs by working in other areas outside their primary responsibilities.
Minimum High School Diploma or Graduate of a Community College Electronics program.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience required.
Travel for training may be required as needed within North America.
Good communication, both oral and written.
Must have good interpersonal skills.
Must have good computer skills.
Willing to work overtime as required.
Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended for employees who are at risk for exposure to blood or other bodily fluids on the job. This position maintains responsibility for performing full inspections of all product lines using a variety of test equipment for consignment returns, in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures. He/ she processes return product documents, and posting of return product inventory to its proper location or destination in a timely manner.
