SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES: 1. Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
Performs all Special Procedures.
Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.
Observant of patients conditions.
Practices radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
Understands and operates electronic information systems.
Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
Administers contrast media as required.
Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of special procedures to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.
Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
EXPERIENCE Required - One year experience as Radiologic Technologist Preferred - One year dedicated Special Procedures experience.
EDUCATION Required - Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT registered. CPR eligible. Preferred - As above, with ARRT certification in Special Procedures.
