_HCA Nrse Residency Program (Intensive Care Unit)_

StaRN Program (14 weeks total): * The StaRN Program is primarily designed to provide the graduate nurse with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s hospital environment. * It will help the graduate nurse transition out of the classroom setting onto the unit by providing the following training: o 6 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations o 8 weeks preceptorship in the Intensive Care Unit o Certification achieved: ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, CPI After StaRN, the graduate nurse will transition to our Professional Development Residency: * 9 month program factored into your full time position in the Intensive Care Unit * Obtain Charge Nurse and Preceptor skills * Partnered with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month) * Your project could get reviewed by corporate for further recognition _Additional Information about Our Unit:_ * 14 Bed Unit * Provides continuous 24/7 monitoring of patients who are critically ill with life-threatening injury or diseases. * Registered Nurses on this unit will utilize their skills in advanced heart monitors, ventilators for breaking assistance, feeding tubes and catheters. /Leadership maintains close communication with staff to understand their needs and career goals. With an experienced and supportive leadership team, RNs have the opportunity to learn, grow, and advance either within the unit, in other Johnston-Willis specialty areas, or across HCA hospitals!/
