_HCA Nurse Residency Program (Trauma Step-down Unit)_

StaRN Program (14 weeks total): * The StaRN Program is primarily designed to provide the graduate nurse with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s hospital environment. * It will helpthe graduate nursetransition out of the classroom setting onto the unit by providing the following training: o 6 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations o 8 weeks preceptorship on the Trauma Step-down Unit o Certification achieved:ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI After StaRN,the graduate nursewill transition to ourProfessional Development Residency: * 9 month program factored into your full time position in the Trauma Step-down Unit * ObtainCharge Nurse and Preceptor skills * Partnered with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month) * Your project could get reviewed by corporate for further recognition / *_Additional Information about the Trauma Step-down Unit__ _ * 34 private rooms with bedside monitoring * Level II Trauma * Primary Stroke Certified * /Fast paced unit with great team work fostering a family friendly environment/ * Multicultural staff with diverse patient population * /Flexible scheduling with unlimited learning opportunities/ * Invested management team supportive of individual career development /Leadership is experienced, passionate about this unit, and accessible to employees-always keeping open communication.
