We are seeking a Primary Care Associate Segment Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA
The Associate Segment Manager is responsible for supporting the segment strategy and will execute on marketing efforts directed to customers, prospects and sales teams in our Primary Care (PC) segments: Physician Office, Surgery Centers, Clinics, Emerging Markets and others. This person will serve as an integral function for the team, working on a variety of moderately complex projects that require analysis and execution. This position is responsible for key Marketing initiatives and programs designed to maximize McKesson’s position in the market. Includes project management, marketing coordination, program management, marketing campaign execution and sales support. Excellence in managing multiple projects, writing/communication and executing are all necessary for success in this position. Willingness to be flexible in job responsibilities and knowledge across all areas of marketing are a must.
Identification and execution of tactics to support Segment initiatives and campaigns, as prioritized by Senior Segment Manager and Segment Marketing Director. Efforts support key metrics including total Primary Care market revenue, campaign revenue, Customer Net Promotor Score, and Marketing Attributable Revenue goals. Responsibilities include project-management-like work with both short and long-term results: inventory all tactics, execute on tactics, report on status, drive to completion and measure once complete. Need this individual to suggest and develop documents/templates. Examples include product, category, business, Customer or market-event based initiatives.
Support creative briefs for segment initiatives, partnering with senior managers in development and tracking to completion. Responsibilities could include translating senior manager subject matter expertise into a well-written creative brief, input/management of creative projects in our custom software interface, and driving/tracking progress of creative projects with Marcom including management of status meetings and proactive follow up.
Coordination of Sales councils for segment: scheduling 1-3x/quarter, membership tracking and summarizing for key stakeholders.
Lead several “pulse” surveys: capture segment team needs, partner with research team on question format, design all surveys, deploy in the market and report findings.
Lead competitive due diligence and other exploratory information as needed by segment manager(s) to inform the Segment Marketing strategic plan and updates to executive leadership.
Management of 15 Primary Care conferences: calendarize, coordinate advertisements, sponsorship oversight, product placement through collaborating with several internal teams, attendee lead management/coordination, establishing measurement/ROI, interface with events team regularly, lead pre/post communications (list coordination, creative briefs, measurements).
Lead logistical and other aspects of Sales meetings: National Sales Conference, Leadership and other sales meetings (example Surgery Center meeting).
Management of Marketing collateral: frequent assessment of existing, capturing of all requests and management of the Sales Resource Center.
Willingness to be flexible in job responsibilities and knowledge across all areas of marketing are a must
5 years experience in marketing
2 years experience working cross-functionally
2 years experience with project management (does not need to have previously held a project manager title)
1 years experience working in a sales-driven organization
Advanced MS Office experience (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Manage multiple projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving
Ability to identify, execute and measure tactics for strategic projects/initiatives
Self-driven individual with natural orientation to detail
Strong interpersonal skills – capability to be proactive in working throughout the organization
Strong abilities to collaborate and execute
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Budget management experience
4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
