Oracle Product Manager/Strategy 5-ProdDev in Richmond, Virginia
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

This role is responsible for user-centered product design, research, execution for Student Cloud. This role works with both internal teams (e.g., product strategy, product management, development, UX, marketing, internal sales reps, consultants, development etc.) and external audiences (e.g., customers, analysts, system integrators/partners, etc.)
Responsibilities include:
Design features which make complex tasks workflows simple and easy to understand for all levels of customer
Research, design and build click-through prototypes for the entire Higher Ed for Student Cloud
Drive customer interviews and user testing
Lead product design labs to help product strategy, product managers, architects and development teams to think through requirements, validate/test ideas (personas, prototypes, wireframes, sketches etc.) and designs
Drive and promote Innovation and Design Thinking within the product development organization
Effectively and succinctly communicate and influence with cross-functional teams
Strong conceptual and visual communication skills
Collaborates with peers in Oracle Product Development teams
Preferred qualifications:
10 years progressively increasing product design responsibility in a cloud enterprise software environment
Passion and empathy for human/consumer centered design
Bachelor s or Master's degree or equivalent work experience
Highly results oriented, collaborative and creative and highly motivated to disrupt the Higher Ed space
Have the drive to inspire others to execute on vision
Strong presentation skills and great storytelling
Ability to build relationships and influence outside of authority while leveraging Oracle expertise and resource
