We are seeking a Profitability Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.
This position will provide analytics and reporting activities for the Profit team by developing, refining and analyzing profitability through the delivered profit model. Highlighting opportunities across the various functional areas within the business to gain efficiencies or drive profitability.
This role will be required to collaborate with all levels of management across internal teams to drive business unit success, including Sales, Category Management, Contract Admin, Operations, IT, and other key groups.
Lead profitability improvement projects with functional areas to define, refine and empower business partners to execute on designed tactics that align with strategic goals and objectives
Creates standard and ad hoc reports using available reporting tools for assigned functional areas. Analyzes reporting results for trends and performs route cause analysis. Prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting
Work closely with technical team to continue to improve methodologies and automate report
Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of source data and delivered reports
2 years experience in analytics or data related fields
1 years experience working with large complex data systems to aggregate, organize and prepare data for use in analysis
1 years’ data querying experience (SQL, Access or other)
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel-pivots, VLOOKUPS)
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with presentations to leadership
Strong technical and analytical skills
Ability to influence stakeholders to make business decisions
Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau
Experience with SQL and data extraction methodologies
Knowledge of data tools, such as SQL, NoSQL, Visual Basic, SAP, IBM, Netezza, Teradata, Hadoop, and Oracle
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
