Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

As a Solutions Architect,you will work closely with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure product teams and partner with otherproduct teams across Oracle to craft highly scalable, flexible, resilient and cost effectivecloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate theadoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. You will continuouslyexperiment on our platform, building, deploying and migrating applicationsolutions and use cases our customers currently use or plan to use and createmost optimal architectures and device best practices. As a trusted customeradvocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand bestpractices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existingworkloads to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding oflarge scale computing solutions and enjoys keeping the existing technicalskills sharp and developing new ones.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participatein deep architectural discussions with customers, partners and Oracle fieldpersonnel to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in thecloud.

Captureand share best-practice knowledge amongst the field and internal teams.

Authoror contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, handbooksand presentations.

Builddeep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enablethem to be cloud advocates

Actas a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Strongverbal and written communications skills. Past experience writing andpublishing technical white papers.

BS/MSdegree required; Computer Science, Math or Engineering degree with Technicalbackground highly desired; Advanced Degree or Cloud certifications are a plus

Theright person will possess 3 years of network implementation/consultingexperience in the software or infrastructure industries and demonstrate anintermediate understanding of applications, server technology, cloudtechnologies (Infrastructure as a Service IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and networksecurity.

Currentor past technical network experience with routers and switches is required.

Experiencewith networking protocols such as BGP, TCP/IP, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, SSL, and IPSECVPN

Demonstratedknowledge in architecting, deploying, and the operation of solutions. Pastexperience working directly in customer implementations is highly desirable.

Thesuccessful candidate will have spent at least 3 years of their career incustomer facing roles with a proven record of earning trust as well aseffective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and ininteractions with partner and customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experiencemigrating or transforming customer solutions from on premise to public orhybrid cloud solutions.

Experienceimplementing connectivity solutions utilizing one or more of the followingtechnologies: SD-WAN, MPLS circuit providers, Ethernet Private Line services,and/or Wavelength services

Familiaritywith common enterprise solutions from Oracle, Microsoft, SAP and VMWare

Experiencewith other cloud platform including AWS, Azure or Google Compute Platformis a plus

Experience with networkmonitoring and telemetry solutions is a plus

Extensive experience withscripting or automation frameworks is a plus, such as Terraform, Python, orother languages.
