What’s the role?
The successful candidate for the role will work with different teams and provide valuable insight, analysis required for strategic direction setting, annual business planning activities, portfolio evaluations, as well as individual investment decisions. Other accountabilities include:
Delivering high quality, cost effective, comprehensive, timely and professional economics products and services.
Ensuring commercially sound, accurate, repeatable, timely and fit-for-purpose economic analysis that supports efficient and effective investment decision making, including appropriate Risk & Uncertainty analysis.
Providing valuation and decision analysis support on Investment Proposals.
Ensuring that the technical, commercial/economics assumptions for all economic quantification are prepared and reviewed.
Ensuring that functional sign-off is in place on all projects prior to key decision points.
Maintaining model documentation, comply with the Economic Assurance Review process and maintain corporate data.
Providing commercial support with guidance from experienced economists in evaluating proposed business opportunities.
Aligning with stakeholders to meet short-term needs of projects/business while building long term functional health (e.g. delivering on accountabilities while also growing skills and competencies and sharing best practices).
Balance cost, speed, and quality of economic products to match specific decision.

What we need from you
We are looking for someone who is interested in petroleum economics with the drive for utilizing best practices and identifying new ways of working. Additionally, we are looking for someone with the following requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering, Economics, Geosciences or Business.
At least 3 years of experience. Good understanding of the Upstream business and Petroleum Economics is a plus.
Proficient in the use of excel as modelling tool. Prior experience in building economic excel model is desirable.
Ability to learn how to recognize links between wide ranging issues with the skill to develop overviews and propose solutions under changing circumstances.
Able to build strong external focus, commercial mind-set, open minded, challenging others' and own assumptions and output.
Self-starter with sound judgment and strong inter-relationship skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including broad intuitive thinking coupled with an inquisitive nature.
Results-driven team player with commercial focus who is comfortable working in a diverse work environment. Must be able to deliver on tight time schedules, working effectively with peers and other stakeholders.
The position requires strong business analysis skills, and an ability to organize, analyze and communicate impact of decisions to team members and other stakeholders.
