The Office Associate is a P/T bi-lingual position of the Cancer Services Program of Suffolk County (CSP). The CSP aims to decrease cancer mortality of uninsured residents of Suffolk County by providing access to free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening, education and treatment services. The Office Associate is responsible for all administrative support functions. This position is grant funded; therefore, employment is based on grant fund availability.
Providing administrative and clerical support to office staff.
Answering multi-line phone and directing calls appropriately.
Manage and enter data to existing databases.
Organize and maintain files.
Coordinate paperwork and information flow in office.
Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying information.
Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating requirements; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items; delivering supplies to work stations.
Operates related office equipment.
Provide any other support functions deemed necessary for the program to efficiently function.
Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Associates Degree, preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year prior clerical experience and Data Collection Experience, required.
Minimum of one (1) year prior Quality Assurance Experience, preferred.
Preferred – Experience in health care setting
Working knowledge of PC applications, required.
Verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, required.
