Position Summary: Under the direction of the Radiologist and Administrative Director of Radiology, performs ultrasonic examinations of patients and records the images. Reports To: Administrative Director of Radiology Supervises: None
Sonographer FT/Mixed Rotating Weekends Ultrasound
Position Requirements: Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or must receive certificate within one year of hire.
BLS healthcare provider certification. Experience:
Completion of the above education requirements. Special Qualifications:
Good knowledge of the theory, techniques of ultrasound, the operation and care of ultrasound equipment and the principles of radiation and radiation safety.
Knowledge of oxygen regulators, suction unit, IVAC unit, and film view alternator and filing system.
Ability to speak, write, read and communicate in English.
