Basic Functions Responsible for efficient operations of the Armament Section. Responsible for maintenance of the Ministry of the National Guard equipment not transitioned and other materiel as directed by Office of the Program Manager. The mission involves training as specified in the contract Performance Work Statement, to include Tube Optical Wire guided II missile system component repair, Tube Optical Wire Guided Missile II verifications, General Support level services, and Light Armored Vehicle turret and fire control system services, troubleshooting and repair.
Major Duties and Responsibilities A. Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinates maintenance and training activities of the Armament Section.
Develops/executes plans for receipt, de-processing, maintenance while in storage of new production Light Armored Vehicles.
Prepares reports and records of section activities.
Provides technical assistance to the Ministry of the National Guard units, as required.
Provides diagnostic turret support to General Support Maintenance Unit.
Provides training in accordance with the contract Performance Wok Statement.
Responsible for the quality of the service or production in the Armament Section.
Supervises accountability of tools; test, measurement and diagnostic equipment related to armament systems and sub-systems.
Directs procedures for the troubleshooting of malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, fire control, and instrument items.
Conducts and oversees employee periodic and discipline counseling.
Responsible for employee accountability and time keeping procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
B. Independence: Acts under the general supervision of the Branch Manager and at the guidance of the Chief, Maintenance Operations Section related to production and project prioritization. Performs within broad objectives with significant choice of methods.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises 25 to 40 personnel.
Minimum Qualifications A. Education Level: High School Diploma. Associates Degree preferred. Military or equivalent civilian training in weapon systems maintenance. Acceptable training experience would be those that are equivalent in military occupation skills related to Armament Weapon Systems Repair at the Direct and General Support Levels. Some possible preferred military occupational specialties: 45Z, 45K, 45G, 91G, 91K, 913A, and comparable Navy, Marine and Air Force specialties.
B. Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in civilian or military logistics in Armament repair at the Direct Support and General Support level preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience.
C. Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and requirements: Knowledge of logistics management policies, principles, techniques and procedures; knowledge of planning and developing training; ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; computer literate. Must possess a valid US driving license and be capable of obtaining a KSA driver’s license.
