Basic Functions

Sustainment Division (SD) Operations Coordinator reports to the Chief, SD Operations with the duties and responsibilities to direct and coordinate the actions of SD branch managers. Acts as the single point of contact for administration, training, personnel management and special projects management. Assists in oversight of Organization and Manning (O&M), Job Descriptions, and Equipment Requirement Listings (ERLs) for the Division.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

A. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Receives, tracks, and determines allocations for Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Overtime (OT), and Temporary Duty (TDY) funds for the division.

  2. Works with the Chief, SD Operations in managing recruiting for the division.

  3. Works with the Chief, SD Operations in monthly and semi-annual division Self-Assessment data collection and reporting.

  4. Works with the Chief, SD Operations in monitoring and preparing reports concerning the division’s vehicle fleet.

  5. Works with the Chief, SD Operations in monitoring and reporting sensitive items and information technology devices assigned to the division and keeping the division Modified Table of Organizational Equipment (MTOE) up to date.

  6. Serves as back up to the Chief, SD Operations, the Office Manager and the Senior Administrative Specialist in their absence.

B. Independence: Acts under the general supervision of the Chief, SD Operations. Performs within broad objectives with significant choice of methods.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Minimum Qualifications

A. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance desired, Associates Degree required. Finance and property management experience desired. Background in technology and electronics desire.

B. Experience: Minimum of three to five years’ experience in civilian or military management, operations, and planning. Military assignments at battalion or higher level staff are a plus.

C. Specific knowledge, skill, abilities: Knowledge of business operations, property accountability, and management policies and procedures; knowledge of training, planning, and development; knowledge of the logistics systems; knowledge of management principles and techniques; ability to communicate effectively, computer literate. Possess a valid US driving license and be capable of obtaining a KSA driving license.
