Basic Functions Operations supervisor for all training and operations activities within HAD. Serves as Deputy HAD and Operations Chief and Coordinator for the Medical Training Branch (MTB) and the Allied Health Science and Education Branch (AHSEB). Reports directly to the HAD Senior Manager to ensure all internal and external activities are coordinated, planned, conducted, and executed in a timely and accurate manner. Interfaces and acts on behalf of the Manager in his absence. Coordinates activities on a daily basis between MTB manager and the Chief Trainers, AHSEB Manager, Medical English Lab Training Section (MELTS), Curriculum Development and Management Section, Faculty and Staff Development Section, Medical Doctrine Development, and IM-IT Section. Responsible for the operation and coordination with OPM to include East and West Regions in support of all MNG Medical Units.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes, designs, develops, and publishes plans, policies, and programs in support of the MNG.
Updates and maintains HAD operational SOPs.
Coordinates the efforts of all branch activities.
Provide operational support for the MNG to include MFMC and subordinate units.
Coordinates all meetings, conferences, and briefings required to support the conduct of HAD operations.
When required, serves as liaison officer for MNG officials.
Maintains liaison with all staff in the MFMC and all Medical units in MNG.
Renders assistance to MNG Medical units at all times.
Acts in the capacity of the Senior Manager, HAD, in the absence of the Senior Manager, HAD.
Perform other mission-related duties, as required or assigned.
Preparation to teach medical courses within the Leader Development Section in the absence of the Leader Development Section Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Supervises two Saudis and one American.
A. Education Level:Bachelor's Degree; Command and General Staff College (or equivalent) graduate required. Master’s degree and graduate of a Senior Service College preferred.
B. Experience:Six years’ experience in the U.S. Military at Battalion or higher level or a combination of both in training development and training
management. Prefer Medical Service Corps Officer, but will consider other branches. Minimum of two years proven ability at jobsite desired.
C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Must have knowledge of the U.S. Military Systems Approach to Training, including knowledge of military training development techniques and procedures. Management ability to supervise a multi-national work force. Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of military staff organization and operations; ability to communicate both orally and in writing; ability to deal effectively with people; in depth knowledge of pertinent KSA and MNG regulations concerning job related activities desired. In depth understanding of the U.S. Military Health Care Delivery System doctrine from Point of Injury to fixed medical treatment facilities. Proficient in MS Office Professional software.
