Major Duties and Responsibilities

A. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Train and evaluate Aviation FI/SIs in the UH-60M Aircraft in accordance with the US Army Aviation ATM and specific unit ATP guidelines.

  2. Develop a non-rated crewmember Training Program in accordance with customer guidance.

  3. Verify and confirm that all required flight training publications are current and complete.

B.Independence: Reports to the Battalion Standardization officer. Works within the policies and procedures of the contract. Able to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the management, training, and advancement process for assigned Non-rated Crewmembers.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education Level:

  2. High school diploma or equivalent

  3. Must have been qualified as a nonrated crewmember instructor (FI) or nonrated crewmember standardization instructor (SI) .

  4. Graduate of instruction from an authorized DOD Proponent School for MOS qualification related to the Mission, Type and Design or completed an equivalency evaluation for the aircraft required.

  5. Minimum of 150 hours experience as a FI or SI and have previously qualified and served in such capacity during military service required.

  6. Able to pass a FI/SI evaluation as appropriate by a Standardization Instructor upon hire and annually thereafter.

B. Experience:

  1. Experience in Utility helicopter mission required. Combat experience preferred.

C. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:

  1. Knowledge of US Army rotary wing regulations and publications.

  2. In-depth understanding of US Army aviation operations including high altitude and desert environments.

  3. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a member of a team.

  4. Possess a valid/current US driver’s license.

  5. Successfully pass the FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire, and annually thereafter required.
