Basic Functions Provide training support to Commanders of Modernized, Non Modernized Brigades, and designated MNG Logistics (LOG) support activities in support of the MNG Modernization Program. Direct training efforts on all matters relating to MNG logistics, procedures, plans, programs, operations, force structure and performance standards for Statement of Work (SOW).
Major Duties and Responsibilities A. Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to the SOW designated activities in all organizational functions relating to training management, supply accountability maintenance, performance evaluations, and day-to-day operations within contractual requirements.
Supervises formal training and other informal training methodologies provided by subordinates to designated logistics support activities.
Plans for and supervises the activities of training elements of the Training Branch.
Coordinate supply and maintenance assistance programs and activities with Office of the Program Manager (OPM) to ensure continuity of effort.
Prepares administrative and operational plans, policies and procedures for all sections in the Training Branch.
Evaluates the overall operation of the Training Branch and initiates necessary changes processes and procedures.
Responsible for the implementation of automated systems within Training Branch.
B. Independence: Acts under the general supervision of the Manager, Training Branch (TB). Performs within broad objectives with significant choice of methods.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of all Trainers and interpreters assigned to the Training Branch; responsible for logistics functions to support the Office of the Program Manager (OPM) and the Ministry of the National Guard (MNG).
Minimum Qualifications A. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred). Senior level military course graduate: Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Warrant Officer or Senior Leader Course. Work experienced may be substituted for education level requirements.
B. Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in military logistics with emphasis on planning, operations and training management in maintenance, supply or transportation. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Military assignment in logistics at division level or higher, and general or joint staff logistics experience is desired.
C. Specific knowledge, skill, ability requirements: Knowledge of principles and procedures of military logistical operations; knowledge of management principles and techniques; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to deal effectively with people. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be computer literate. Former Field Grade Officer preferred.
