Basic Functions Performs as a LAV Senior Turret/Automotive Trainer and Assistance LMTS Supervisor. Provides formal LAV Turret/Automotive Maintenance Training for MNG personnel. Repairs LAV systems, as required in the LMTS training section.

Major Duties and Responsibilities ​A.Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Provides LAV Turret/Automotive, New Equipment Maintenance Training and formal On-The-Job (OJT) programs to MNG soldiers in conjunction with New Equipment Training (NET).

  2. Identifies requirements and requisition material for repair of LAV Equipment using a variety of English language U.S. military and civilian manuals.

  3. Maintains training records; prepares and submits required training reports.

  4. Assists in the development and execution of New Equipment Training Programs.

  5. Conducts maintenance assistance and instruction programs for MNG personnel and units.

  6. Provides technical assistance to MNG units, as required.

  7. Performs repairs and other maintenance for LAV systems.

  8. Develops and updates lesson outlines and task listings for MNG NET.

  9. Performs other duties as required in LMTS.

B.Independence: Acts under the supervision of the Supervisor, LAV Maintenance and Training Section. Follows established methods and procedures refers exception to supervisor.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall shop operation of the LAV Turret Section of four (4) Trainers and five (5) Assistance Trainers.

Minimum Qualifications

A. Education Level: High School. Associates degree preferred. Military technical training or equivalent in turret/automotive ORG/DS levels maintenance repairs.

B. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Turret/Automotive repair, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

C. Specific knowledge, skill, ability, requirements: Knowledge of principles and techniques of turret/automotive. Fully knowledgeable in the use of TMDE/SMDE and troubleshooting procedures for diesel engines. Must possess a valid driver's license.
