Basic Functions Teach, coach, and assist leaders in training combat engineer mobility, counter-mobility and survivability tasks, and associated training management for Modernized Brigade Engineer Companies of the Saudi Arabia National Guard

Major Duties and Responsibilities

A. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, prepares, executes, and assesses leader and collective engineer training.

  2. Identifies training aid requirements and submits requests for fabrication and or support.

  3. Prepares and reviews Lesson Outlines, Lesson Plans, Student Handouts, and Practical Exercises.

  4. Coaches, trains, and assists in planning, coordinating, and executing mobility, counter-mobility and survivability in support of maneuver operations.

  5. Guides, coaches, and assists units in train-up and preparations for unit LFX, FTX, STX, or CPX

  6. Provide unit leaders training feedback and advice. Prepares and executes oral and written After Action Reviews.

  7. Other supervisory, training, coaching, and assistance tasks, as required.

B. Independence: Under close supervision, follows established methods and procedures; refers exceptions to supervisor.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: One Interpreter/Translator.

Minimum Qualifications

A. Education Level: High School Graduate required; Associate’s Degree of higher preferred. US Army 12N BNCOC/ALC or USMC 1345 SNCOASC Graduate required; US Army 12N ANCOC/SLC or USMC 1345 SNCOADEP Graduate preferred. Sapper Leader Course Graduate preferred. Master Breacher Course Graduate preferred. Army Instructor Course or USMC Weapons & Tactics Instructor Course Graduate preferred.

B. Experience: Former SSG/SSgt required; Former SFC/GySgt preferred. 8+ years experience in Army or Marine Corps heavy equipment engineer positions with 2+ years successful service as a squad leader required; +2 years service as a platoon sergeant preferred. Extensive heavy equipment training and operations experience required. 2+ years Observer/Controller/Trainer or Small Group Instructor service preferred. Recent combat experience preferred.

C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability, requirements: Subject matter expert in planning, preparation, and execution of heavy equipment engineer tasks from crew/squad through platoon level. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work in and adjust to the customs and courtesies of the Host Nation Country. Windows & MS Office Suite Programs proficient. Possess a valid driver’s license.
