Basic Functions Responsible for providing maintenance assistance to Battalion maintenance personnel, Battalion staff, and company leaders. Assist unit leaders in the planning, preparation, coordination, supervision and conduct of Light Armored Vehicle automotive/hull system maintenance training.
Major Duties and Responsibilities A. Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides technical assistance to the Battalion XO and maintenance officer (BMO) and maintenance management.
Teach, coach, mentor and assist the BMO and maintenance platoon personnel in planning for and executing both garrison and field maintenance operations.
Assists unit leaders in planning and executing company/platoon Light Armored Vehicle automotive/hull PMCS training within the battalion.
Provides follow up inspections and coordinates retraining in maintenance and repair parts operations in accordance with SANG regulations and units SOPs.
Assist company officers in planning, preparation, execution, and assessing the unit maintenance program.
Prepares and submits training schedules, lesson plans, conduct and write After Action Reviews.
B. Independence: Performs tasks within broad objectives IAW approved doctrine with significant choice of methods to achieve desired results.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises one Interpreter/Translator.
Minimum Qualifications A. Education Level: High School Graduate. Graduate of either a senior NCO maintenance school/course or a Warrant Officer Maintenance training program. An equivalent combination of college level courses, military and job site experience may be substituted.
B. Experience: Ten years’ experience in a combat or combat support unit performing duties directly relating to organizational level maintenance operations. General understanding and background in organizational maintenance operations and PLL management.
C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability, requirements: Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of maintenance and maintenance management. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Be computer literate. Possess a valid driver's license. Former Warrant Officer MOS 915A or Senior Non-Commission Officer MOS 91 and 63 series.
