Responsible for providing maintenance assistance to Battalion maintenance personnel, Battalion staff, and company leaders. Assist unit leaders in the planning, preparation, coordination, supervision and conduct of equipment maintenance training.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Provides technical assistance to the Battalion Executive Officer and Battalion Maintenance Officer (BMO) and maintenance management.
Coach & mentor and assist the BMO and maintenance platoon personnel in planning for and executing both garrison and field maintenance operations.
Assists unit leaders in planning and executing company/platoon Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) training within the battalion.
Provides follow up inspections and coordinates retraining in maintenance and repair parts operations in accordance with the Ministry of the National Guard (MNG) regulations and units Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assist company officers in planning, preparation, execution, and assessing the unit maintenance plan.
Prepares and submits training related reports.
Performs other tasks as required.
B. Independence: Works under direct supervision of the Chief Trainer Maintenance.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises 1 Interpreter/Translator.
A. Education Level: High School Graduate. Graduate of either a senior Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) maintenance school/course or a Warrant Officer Maintenance training program. An equivalent combination of college level courses, military and job site experience may be substituted.
B. Experience: Five years’ experience in a combat or combat support unit performing duties directly relating to organizational level maintenance operations. General understanding and background in organizational maintenance operations and Production Load List (PLL) management.
C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability, requirements: Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of maintenance and maintenance management. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Be computer literate. Possess a valid driver's license. Former Warrant officer or Senior NCO.
