Basic Functions Serves as a Staff Trainer for all matters concerning training, operational plans, force development, and modernization. The Staff Trainer is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating, and supervision of all current and future command operations, directly supporting the office of Program Management (Aviation) team to meet the National Guard’s operational requirements.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting in preparing, coordinating, authenticating, publishing, and distributing the Brigade Command SOP. Plans, orders (including Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs) and warning orders(WARNOs).
Conduct training to the aviation primary staff (S1, S2, S3, and S4).
Planning, coordinating, and supervising exercises.
Synchronizing tactical operations with all staff sections.
Assist and review the Brigade/Battalion METL and ensure the Brigade/Battalion METL goals are being met.
Ensuring necessary combat support requirements are provided when and where required.
Responsible for the quality of the services or products in accordance with approved plans, SOPs, and standards (quality control).
Recommending priorities for allocating critical resources. (Personnel and equipment replacements)
Train the Staff S1,S2,S3, and S4 in the following Training Tasks:
a. Conducting Aircrew training within the command.
b. Preparing training guidance for the commander’s approval.
c. Identifying training requirements, based on the unit mission essential task list and training status.
d. Determining requirements for and allocation of training resources.
e. Maintaining the unit readiness status of each unit in the command.
f. Others tasks as required
Subject Matter Expert on Brigade / Battalion Operations.
Perform other duties as required or directed by Vinnell Arabia management placed above.
B.Independence: Reports to the Brigade Staff Trainer, Operations and coordinates directly with OPM and MNG-AVN counterparts regarding staff work assignments and priorities as applicable.
C.Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned.
A. Education Level: Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Battle staff course preferred.
B. Experience: 3 years’ experience in Aviation Brigades and Battalions or higher command structure in operations, training, and management desired. Former CPT, CW3 or E7 and above preferred.
C. Specific knowledge, skills, ability: Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of military staff organization and operations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and ability to interact with brigade/battalion staff. Ability to communicate with the customer in a professional manner. Knowledge of pertinent SANG and OPM-SANG operational procedures concerning job related activities. Proficient in Microsoft office suite. Possess a valid driver’s license.
